Hello from New Intern
Hello everyone!
My name is Pearl Mar (パール マー）from America. I will be a third year student at Soka University of America (SUA) in California. I will be interning at Free the Children Japan during the summer before my Study Abroad program in Sapporo. I am interested in youth empowerment and I am involved in the Free the Children club at SUA. Last year, I was the club’s treasurer and we did many fundraising activities such as Hugs for Haiti, Change 4 Change, and Benefit Concert. I hope that through this internship, I will be able to make a difference in changing the lives of children around the world. I also hope that I can learn more about NGOs and NPOs. During my stay in Japan, I would like to improve my Japanese and eat lots of Japanese food!
