My name is David Palomo, I’m from Texas in the United States.
I have been working as an elementary and junior high school English teacher in Kanagawa prefecture
for the last three years.

I’ve been interested in the Japanese language and culture since I was 18 years old.
I have always enjoyed the challenge of translation and helping bridge communication
between languages.

Since working as a teacher I have also enjoyed my experience working with children.
Volunteering with Free The Children Japan as Japanese to English translator gives me
the opportunity to do two things that I really love all while helping make a difference in the world.

I translate in my free time or whenever I’m not too busy at work but would also like to
find the time to work with children one of these days.
