テイク・アクション・キャンプ・ジャパンとは？

フリー・ザ・チルドレン・ジャパンでは、毎年春夏に小学5年生～高校3年生を対象としたキャンプを開催しています。
子ども達が、未来のリーダーという存在だけでなく、今日のリーダーとして、今アクションを起こす事をサーポートするのが、このキャンプです。自分自身を見つめ直し、国内外で起きている社会問題をワークショップを通じて考え、
実際にボランティアをして、自身がその後起こすアクションプランを考えます。

フリー・ザ・チルドレン・ジャパンのファシリテーターとは？

ファシリテーターは、子ども達の考えを引き出す役割です。ワークショップを通じて感じた事を、その場だけの考えで終わらぬよう、質問を通じて深めていきます。キャンプでは、子ども達は6.7人程度のスモールグループに分かれてキャンプを通じてディスカッションを行います。ファシリテーターにはそのグループに担当としてついてもらい、ワークショップを実施して頂きます。

私は、過去3回高校生グループの担当でした。ファシリテーターとして、ワークの時は少し背伸びをする部分はあるが、自分らしく接することで参加者もありのままの考えを話す事が出来ると思うし、近い年齢ということもあり、一緒に学んでいく感じがしました。毎回違う視点で発見があり、最初は”上手く回さなくては”と緊張していましたが、参加者が自然に話せる環境やキッカケを作るのがファシリテーターの役割で、自分が上手く回すことは考えなくて良いことに気付き、それぞれの参加者の個性を引き出すことを一番に考えるようになりました。自分にファシリテーターなんて出来るのかと不安に思う人も居ると思いますが、ファシリテーター講座を受け、事前にワークを体験しながら実践することで不安もなくなりました。（足立壮太郎　当時 大学2,3年生）

My name is Bato. I am from Mongolia. Last year summer camp was really great experience for me.I did develop and practice facilitation　skills, while also exploring social and　environmental issues in world. Discussing with children was fun and you learn so much new things　from them. Develop your passion and learn how you can make a tangible impact in the world through facilitation! Some of the best reasons　to be a camp facilitator may surprise you. Each day at Take Action Camp is a little bit different, but the overarching themes are social　justice and leadership. Every day is unique, with a variety of special activities. Don’t worry about your language skill you can improve your Japanese, and if you English speaker you can help if not you will learn new things! Just take action come to the　camp! （Batgerel Batnasan）

【フリー・ザ・チルドレンとは】
1995年に当時12歳のカナダ人少年クレイグ･キールバーガーによって貧困や搾取から子どもを解放することを目的に 設立された国際協力団体。　「子どもや若者は助けられるだけの存在ではなく、自身が変化を起こす担い手である」という理念のもと、子どもや若者が自分の持つ力を発揮して、より良い世界をめざし行動を起こせるよう環境づくりに取組んでいます。 フィリピン、インド、ケニア、など9か国の開発途上国を対象に自立支援を行い、 今までに1,000校以上の学校を建て、毎日20万人以上の子どもが教育を受けられるようなりました。現在、1,000人近い日本の子どもや大学生など若者がメンバーとなって活動しています。

What is Take Action Camp Japan?

Free The Children Japan has camps for elementary school fifth graders to senior high school students every spring and summer.
This camp will not only have children serve the future leader, but also today’s leader, taking action now. Refocusing oneself, thinking about social problems occurring all around the world through workshops, actually volunteering and thinking of the action plan that it will follow.

What is a facilitator for Free The Children Japan?

Facilitators have the role of bringing out the ideas of children. In being a facilitator,
you will ask deep questions that you create through the workshop instead of thinking
of questions on the spot. In the camp, children will split up into small groups of about
6 or 7 people and discuss through camps. Please have the facilitator take charge of the group and conduct a workshop.
