11月23日(土)・11月24日(日)に学習院大学で開催された学習者ディベロプメント研究部会の創設20周年記念大会に参加してきました！！

フリー・ザ・チルドレン・ジャパンの活動を紹介するブースを出展して、フェアトレード商品や関連書籍を販売したり、参加者の皆さんとNGOと教育関係者が連携して活動するにはどうしたらよいかといった話し合いをして意見を出し合ったりしました。

企画してくださったコリン・ランドル先生、ありがとうございました。

インターン4名が、その記念大会に参加しましたので、その感想をご紹介します。

 

【インターン　ため】

今回この記念大会に参加されたのは8割が外国の方々でした。

FTCJ以外のNGO団体と英語で意見を出し合ったりしたことはめったにできない経験でした。

この総会に参加して、いろんな国の人たちと触れ合えた事によって言葉の壁がなくなった気がします。

本当に貴重な体験をしました.

【インターン　なかじ】

今回のこの記念大会に参加し、伝える事の難しさ、大切さを改めて考えるきっかけになりました。

他のＮＧＯ団体も、それぞれの考え方を持っていて、来てくれる人皆が、真剣に説明を聞いてくれるというのがうれしかったです。

また、自分も他のＮＧＯ団体の掲げる問題に真剣に考え、意見を出すことができました。

なにより、そういった話題で意見を出し合いつつも、それを楽しむことが出来た、という事が何より良かったです

【インターン　風香】

この大会では大学・高校のネイティブの先生が多く参加されていて、みなさんが一生懸命私たちの話を聞いてくれようとしてくれていて、世界というものを近く感じることができました。

またほかのNGO団体の方々もいらっしゃっていて、国際社会に貢献していこうという団体が多くいることは、とても素晴らしいことだと思いました。

この経験を生かして、これからも世界を見据えて、しっかり勉学に取り組んでいこうと思います！！

23-24 November at Gakushuin University the Learner Development SIG organized its 20^th anniversary conference. The Learner Development SIG in partnership with some Japanese local NGOs denominated NGO Outreach Student Ambassador Program is a project of making Professors, Students and NGOs work together through volunteering and internship.

Free The Children Japan (FTCJ), Japan Tent, Shanti and Shine on Kids, took part during the conference. The main point of all NGOs was about the organizations’ activities and achievements undertaken for the wellbeing and happiness of children and young people all around the world.

Another point that was raised during the conference was student ambassadors’ experience in different NGOs in which we interned. Most of us interns it was our first office experience, we shared what we were doing as interns, how our internships would affect our future career, what we have learned and why was it a good experience.

In FTCJ’s booth, represented on the 23^rd by the Chair person Sanae Nakajima, and three other interns: Fuka Yokoyama, Yuko Tamegai and I and on 24^th by  I and Shoki Nakazima We had the privilege to do the promotion of our organization on the 23^rd through a short presentation of Free The Children Japan and internship experience at FTCJ done by Sanae and I; we had also a discussion between students, teachers themselves and NGO chair persons and then all mixed up together. Still in our side we were handing out brochures and pamphlets and at the same time selling goods (chocolates and dried mangoes) for fund raising and books about Free The Children on both Saturday and Sunday. We got the honor to be visited by many professors, guests and other students during the two days.

On the behalf of JALT Learner Development SIG all NGOs and interns received a certificate of recognition from Professor Collin Rundle one of the NGO Outreach Team. We ended up with positives outcomes of the Learner Development SIG on how it has joined teachers, students and NGOs, and all the benefits that each one got from this program.
