■June 12th is World Day Against Child Labor! let’s join Stop Child Labor Campaign 2016
Our “Stop Child Labor Campaign 2016” has been ongoing since May 5th in preparation for this worldwide event.
Throughout each of our campaigns between May 5th and July 7th we will be introducing and implementing “Red Card Action”.
“Red Card Action” is a part of the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) “Red Card to Child Labor Campaign”
and it has become a worldwide movement. Within Japan, the Child Labor Network has been the main advocate of this particular cause.

■Study tour 2016 in India!
Free The Children Japan (FTCJ) is a non-profit organization whose goals are to free children from poverty and exploitation and free young people from the notion that they are powerless to affect positive change in the world.
And we will be having a Volunteer and Leadership Trip to the India in August 2016!

■Take Action Camp Japan 2016 Summer!
At TACJ, you will be able to meet new friends from different background and international experiences.
You will also be able to learn about global and local issues through fun activities and deep discussions.
Moreover, you will be able to obtain skills and knowledge needed to take actions against those issues.
In addition, there will be a day of volunteering on the third day to use your skills and knowledge!

＊Dates：Tuesday, Aug 16th to Thu, Aug 19th, 2016.
＊Cost：25,000 yen (covers accommodation, meals, and insurance)
＊Age：Grade 5 through 12.

■Community report in India
The community of Verdhara is located in Rajsamand District, Rajasthan State in the northwest part of India.
It is 30 minutes away from the main town of Kelwara and two hours from Udaipur City. The rural community
consists of forest land, hills, mountains, and cultivated valleys. Cultivated land is limited,
but can be productive with adequate rain or irrigation. Most households are unable to sell their agricultural goods
as they use most of what they produce for their own consumption.
